The Section UK Innovation Forum is a team of Younger serving IPA members, from all roles within the police, including Officers and staff at all levels.
Our aim is to make the IPA more appealing to serving members of the police family, and work to improve what we offer and make membership more attractive. This is done by helping to develop the professional courses we have on offer and identifying what areas could be improved on.
The team meet to share ideas and work on projects to assist the NEC with promoting the ideals of the IPA, and to help raise its profile by changing previous misconceptions within the serving ranks.
Our current focus is to try and get active members within every force in the country, highlighting the real benefits of membership. This is even more important where the branch have no direct links with the force, and helps support those branches where the committee are retired.
Our aim is to support those long-standing, hard-working branch committees, and help them where they may need us.
Members have attended the Gimborn Talks to represent Section UK and have had various meetings of our own at Headquarters, Fox Road with many more hopefully coming in the future both in the UK and abroad.
