Each year, the International Police Association, Section UK, adopts a charity.  In 2012, the chosen charity continues to be Care of Police Survivors (COPS).  www.ukcops.org

IPA promote the COPS newsletter to IPA members to help spread the COPS message.

What happened in 2011

10 Region, who manage the IPA House in Colchester, made a generous donation to boost funds for COPS.
The prize, of a free weekend's stay for up to four people in the IPA House, was auctioned off at the COPS Annual Survivors Weekend, 5 - 7 August, 2011.

Section UK members were represented at the Annual Survivors Weekend by IPA member Karon Heap.

Section UK donated a banner to COPS to help with their presentations.

What happened in 2010

IPA support for the CoPS Summer Black Tie Ball
Donation by Region 1 (Scotland) of a week’s accommodation in the IPA House, St Andrews for the charity auction.   £425 raised for COPS on bids for the stay in the IPA House.

7 Region Channel Islands Sailing Event

32 competitors took part aboard five yachts. Unfortunately one of the yachts was caught in bad weather and was unable to complete the crossing.

The rest made it to Alderney on the Friday night and then on to Guernsey on the Saturday.  During the course of the evening a raffle was held raising £175 for the President's charity,'COPS'.

7 Region Christmas Party

Andrew Munday, from Cornwall branch, has announced that £320 has been raised for 'COPS'. The funds were raised at a successful branch Christmas party held in St Ives.

The Total raised in 2010 = £1478.20
