I wonder if anyone is able to assist me? I retire from the Police in October 2010 and intend to move out to France at the end of September/ beginning of October. I will be taking my two horses with me and as it is going to be a very long journey I will need to have a couple of stop overs in order to give the horses a rest. This will mean that the journey will take at least two to three days to complete. I would be extremely grateful if there is anyone who is willing and able to provide accommodation for both horses and two humans, me and my helper. The first stop will be as near to Dover as possible on the UK side as I will be travelling from Worcestershire. I will probably require another two stops in France between Dunkirk and Poitiers. I normally take the route via Rouen and Le Mans as this avoids the traffic congestion through Paris. I am obviously willing to pay for the use of stables and the human's accommodation and will do all mucking out myself so as to minimise inconvenience to my hosts. If you are able to assist me in any way I will be extremely grateful.
Very many thanks Laura Payne, Chair West Mercia Branch.
